HAPPENING and PERFORMANCE
2018
On Reflection-experiment no. 1, Galleria Moitre Torino. For one evening, the gallery is decontextualised, altering the connotations we are used to. Totally obscured, it welcomes guests in a place where sound is the dominant, experiential and immersive element. Listening to an audio track containing an uninterrupted succession of non-verbal vocalisations (laughing crying, shouting yawns, etc.) human, is intended to stimulate a moment of introspection that can be prolonged outside, through a feeling that is familiar but different from everyday life, in which the space of the mind expands to the stomach, the heart, the skin, experiencing the presence of others, excluding the possibility of seeing them.
2015
0000001, Former Turin Stock Exchange, Exhibit 2015. On the opening night of the exhibition, Anna Ippolito, Atsiom Parchynski, Marzio Zorio, completed the work of beating 14 iron plates arranged to form a compact 500 x 500 cm square, using hammers with rounded points.
Song of Stars, Pino torinese astronomical observatory, live music festival. Live set, soundtrack and musical composition, with visual performance inside the planetarium dome.
2014
- InNaturalia - Asterismi- . During the residency days at the Surprise Rose Garden in Castellalfero, each artist was invited to choose a location within the park. In each chosen location, an action of tracing moles was carried out, through the use of a fine cotton cloth, laid on the naked body of each artist. The tracing led to the creation of 5 'shroud' canvases, each one a unique copy of a texture as personal as that of the fingerprints.
Pulsar, Pino Torinese Astronomical Observatory, live set, soundtrack and musical composition using the sounds of celestial bodies captured by the Voyager and Cassini probes in space, including planets, stars, pulsars, etc., inside the planetarium dome in which a visual show is staged ad oc.
2013
Sonic events, cyclic patterns, finissage solo exhibition of artist Marzio Zorio at the Moitre gallery in Turin. Sampling the sound of the work New York 2013 , in which a loudspeaker broadcasts the sound of the city of New York through a microphone placed in Time Square via streaming (in real time), the two artists (Marzio Zorio and Anna Ippolito), created a musical improvisation.
Poetry, Moitre Galleries, Oblom, CCCT, (2013) During the reading of some of Davide Bava's poems set to music by Marzio Zorio's bass, Anna Ippolito created a painting on canvas that was then cut into 12 parts, each of which was assembled into a booklet. Each book is presented as a multimedia object inside which one of the poems read that evening, a video of the evening, accessible via a QR code, and the images resulting from the uncontrolled painting action, the result of the atmosphere created in that time and space. Each book has a hard cover that allows it to be placed vertically, thus creating a sculptural object. The whole action (painting of the canvas and covers during the reading and subsequent fragmentation of the canvas and assembly of the books) took place in 2 hours and the start and end time of the 'printing' was marked on each booklet.
Music and Spaces, PAV Parco Arte Vivente in Turin, participatory sound performance. The sound of 10 drums, made available to the public, was sampled and re-modulated live, to compose a musical sequence, in accordance with other instruments played by the artists (Marzio Zorio and Anna Ippolito) including violin, electric bass, electric guitar, computer, synthesisers, drummachine.
